How to Lose Weight Effectively by Ramping Up Your Mindset:

Fat Loss 4 IdiotsThe decis to l weight is often a knee-jerk react. You realize you have a class reun in a few months and you want to look good for it, or your clothes are too tight and you decide in an instant t things must change. This attitude l get you out of the starting gate but if you are trying to get to the bottom of how to l weight effectively you must take the time to prepare your mind and build the proper mindset or you l run the risk of falling to ttat before your goal is reached.

A key to true weight loss is to understand t your thoughts and beliefs directly influence your habits and behaviors and so if you want to change your habits you must first monitor and control the way you are thinking. This is a concept t most people get backward, you decide to l weight and logic tells you the first step is to change your eating habits. The problem is this rarely produces perman results because while you might have found the best diet to l weight, you are st ertaining thoughts t l evually sabotage you. For instance, you might really, really want to l weight and start a diet, but if your mind is fed with thoughts like...

"Diets never work for me; I always gain the weight back."

Then you l have an extremely difficult time reaching your goal.

When you jump into a diet you need to rely heavily on lpower and you l find weight loss to be a lot of work. But, if you first take the time to idify and change the thoughts and beliefs you currly have t are making it hard for you to l weight then you l weight on autopilot, without the need for lpower.

Another key to mastering how to l weight effectively is to idify your patterns of ttat.

You are an individual and therefore what tts you l be differ n what tts others. Ask yourself these quests:

What time of day am I most tted?

What evs or circumstances cause me to be tted? (i.e. going out to eat, watching TV, stress at home/work, treats in the house, the smell of food, etc.)

Who is with me when I am most tted?

How am I usually feeling when ttat strikes? (i.e. depressed, nervous, anxious, lonely, bored, etc.)

Becoming aware of the thoughts and feeling t lead to ttat l allow you to let go of them and replace them with owering thoughts and feelings t drive you toward you goal. Take a few minutes right now and write down an answer for each of these quests and pay cl att to the thoughts t lead you to l your focus and you l see better results on the scale.

I have been struggling with weight loss for many years. I'm not overly obese, but everytime I gain any weight I lost within months.

I think I have a mindset problem. I read an very interesting and enlightening article at OptimalBodyWeight.com (a website I like and trust)about this issue. Check out their article Weight Loss by Fixing your Life with Tony Robbins. It makes a lot of sense to me.

Good Luck
