Low Calorie Diets Don't Work - 2 Reasons:

Fat Loss 4 IdiotsSo what is your weight loss plan. It has to be one of either starving or, following a low calorie diet. But believe you me that both of these do not work. Following a low calorie diet, almost ceratinly doesn't work.

Search on any weight loss forums and you will find numerous people complaining that they spent a few thousand dollars on weight loss plans and low calorie diets only to find that they did not lose any weight and consequently they quit the idea of weight loss. This is a normal scenario in a weight loss plan. So why is it that low calorie diest do not work?

The major reason why low-calorie diet plans don't work is: when you eat low-calorie foods, your body basically remains malnourished. You feel sick and tired at all times. Forget about exercises, you don't have enough energy to complete even your regular activities. All these things happen because your metabolic rate is low!

Keep these 2 things in mind if you are serious about being successful in your weight loss plans

  1. Know you enemy: You thought calories were your biggest enemy. Then you are mistaken. Calories are not what you should avoid; They are extremely important for supplying your body with the necessary nutrition and energy. When your body gets enough food, it'll increase your metabolic rate, which will automatically result in weight loss!

What is to be avoided is the bad calories which result in weight gains. Such calories are what is found in burgers but consumption of 10 apples which has more than 100 calories would not be harmful just because they are not harmful calories. These are called as negative calorie foods. Negative calorie doesn't mean that they do not contain calorie at all, instead it means that these foods burn more calories to digest them.

Avoid empty calories (i.e junk foods) and increase the intake negative calorie foods, such as fruits and vegetables. This results in calorie deficit which will ultimately result in weight loss!

  2. In addition to following the tips mentioned in this article, it is always advisable to follow a strict weight loss regimen if you are serious in losing weight. There are certain weight loss diet plans that can help you to a great extent in your weight loss plans. Get one such weight loss diet plan for yourself for better results.

  3. Focus on building your muscles: Muscles burn a lot of your calories in maintaining themselves. This in effect means that the more lean muscles you have, the faster you will be able to lose weight! Eating protein-rich foods is a good way of building lean muscles as also is working out regularly in the gym. Another advantage of eating protein-rich foods is that you won't feel hungry very often thus eliminating the very possibility of overeating.

Low-calorie foods will not help you to build muscles; instead you LOSE muscles. When your body doesn't have enough lean muscles, it is not able to burn fat since your metabolic rate remains at an abnormally low level. So that is one more reason why low calorie diets don't work!

Most of these low calorie diets will only help you lose water and muscles; while you maybe misled into believing that you have actually lost several dozens of pounds, you have not lost the single most important thing that is keeping you from becoming slim: and that is FAT! Unless you lose fat, there is no way you can become fit!
